Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 26, On Monday afternoon, Mingyang, a Chinese wind turbine manufacturer, announced its continued dedication to the European wind energy market despite stepping away from the 300MW Waterkant project in the German North Sea. The decision to part ways with the project’s developer, Luxcara, was mutually agreed upon, allowing Luxcara to sign a new reservation agreement with Siemens Gamesa for the Waterkant project, replacing an earlier deal with Mingyang from last year.
A Mingyang spokesperson stated: “Mingyang can confirm that it is no longer involved in the Waterkant project, following a mutual agreement with the project’s developer Luxcara.” The company emphasized its ongoing commitment to Europe, noting: “Mingyang sees many opportunities and is supporting a range of projects in the region, remains fully committed to serving the European market with reliable, innovative, and sustainable clean energy solutions.”
Mingyang is actively engaged in multiple wind energy projects across Europe, aiming to strengthen its presence in the region’s renewable energy sector. The company highlighted its focus on fostering partnerships and advancing sustainable energy goals. It added: “We deeply value our partnerships with customers, suppliers, and communities across Europe. Moving forward, Mingyang will continue to invest in technological innovation, strengthen local collaborations and explore opportunities to build a local production base and contribute to Europe’s green transition and shared sustainable future.”

Instead, the company is exploring new opportunities to support the region’s clean energy transition through innovative wind turbine technologies and local collaborations. Mingyang is also considering the establishment of a local production facility to enhance its supply chain and better serve European markets.
By prioritizing technological advancements and partnerships, Mingyang aims to contribute to Europe’s renewable energy goals, supporting the region’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable development. The company’s commitment reflects its broader strategy to deliver reliable and innovative wind energy solutions while fostering economic and environmental benefits in Europe.
