Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 19, Over the past three weeks, the price of genetically modified (GM) soybeans in Ukraine has risen by $20 per ton, reaching a range of $415 to $417 per ton CPT seaports for delivery in November. This price increase is attributed to several factors, including stable export demand, limited logistics capacity, and low yields and supply, as reported by Spike Brokers.
In addition, the spot price index for GM soybeans for export, with delivery within the next 30 days, has risen by $7, bringing the price to $412 per ton, excluding VAT. The processing price index has also increased by $6, reaching $450 per ton, including VAT.
Meanwhile, the premium for non-GM soybeans has decreased to $35–40 per ton compared to GM soybeans. This adjustment reflects changes in market conditions and demand for the two types of soybeans.
At the same time, brokers note that a correction in the price of American soybeans has begun to moderate the previous upward price trend seen in the market. This shift may contribute to a cooling effect on the growth of soybean prices in Ukraine in the near future.
The price fluctuations and market dynamics are influenced by a mix of export demand, supply limitations, and the broader international market trends.
