Wedoany.com Report-Dec.4, On November 27, 2025, BYD's manufacturing facility in Thailand celebrated the production of its 70,000th vehicle, a Sealion 6, highlighting continued rapid growth at the plant.

The factory, which broke ground and delivered its first vehicle within 16 months, reached the 70,000-unit milestone just 16 months later. Output accelerated significantly in the past year, rising from 10,000 to 70,000 vehicles annually.

Located in Thailand, the plant supplies both the domestic market and exports to Europe and other Asia-Pacific countries using BYD's dedicated roll-on/roll-off vessels. Over 92% of the workforce consists of local Thai employees, with ongoing emphasis on training, safety standards, and quality management to support seamless integration with the company's global operations.

The milestone vehicle was presented to a plant employee. Moving forward, BYD plans to enhance localised production through smarter and more environmentally friendly manufacturing technologies while increasing the supply of new-energy vehicles to international markets from the facility.

The achievement demonstrates effective execution of BYD's strategy of local manufacturing combined with global distribution. The rapid construction timeline, sharp production ramp-up, and strong local employment reflect efficient project management and supply-chain coordination, meeting growing demand for electric vehicles across Southeast Asia and beyond.

With its own logistics fleet and a predominantly local workforce, the Thai operation serves as an important hub for BYD's expanding overseas presence, supporting market diversification and operational efficiency in key regions including Europe and Southeast Asia.
