Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) in India has announced the commissioning of an additional 307.4 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity at its Khavda facility in Gujarat, thereby expanding its portfolio of operational clean energy assets. With these projects now operational, AGEL's total renewable energy capacity has increased to 17,237.2MW.
The newly added capacity comprises 100MW of solar power, 176 MW of hybrid renewable energy, and 31.4MW of wind power. According to the company's statement, following the receipt of relevant regulatory approvals, the company decided to commence the commercial operation of the power station on December 31, 2025, with plans to start feeding electricity into the grid from January 1, 2026.
This additional capacity will help enhance the supply of clean electricity in the Gujarat region, supporting the diversification of the area's energy mix. As one of India's leading renewable energy developers, AGEL continues to scale up its renewable energy projects in response to the country's growing demand for clean energy.
