Wedoany.com Report-Nov 21, Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) unveils a visualization of Brzeziny station, one of the key points on the Warsaw-Łódź HSR line.

Warsaw - Łódź line, scheduled to open in 2032, will make it possible to travel between these cities in about 40 minutes - almost twice as fast as the current journey time.

Brzeziny planned station will feature two 400-meter-long, single-edge platforms with a height of 76 cm. The station’s northeast section will house the main hall for travelers, including ticket offices, administrative spaces, security offices, and hygiene facilities. A service area adjacent to the passenger hall will accommodate travelers and staff during operating hours. Two main entrances will be located in the curtain wall facade, positioned in the southeast and northeast sections.

One of the station's features is its accessible green roof, which was built as a rest spot for travellers. The green roof will be at platform level, allowing for seamless transitions between the communication zone and the rest space. The roof will be accessible via ground-level stairs in the underground passage that leads to the platform, outdoor stairs and pedestrian walkways in the northeast and southwest portions and a lift near the northern entrance.

The Warsaw-Łódź segment will be the backbone of the "Y" route, connecting Poland's capital to Wrocław and Poznań. The 480-kilometre project will be built in stages and is projected to be completed by 2035. The investment is part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), a list of EU infrastructure priorities. The Y line, as well as various components of Poland's current railway network, will be integrated into cross-border projects and implemented in cooperation with bordering nations. The goal of these activities is to increase rail connectivity between Central and Western European countries.
