Wedoany.com Report-Nov 25, Carrier Air Marshall Islands has placed an order with Textron Aviation for two twin-engine Cessna SkyCourier turboprops.
Textron Aviation announced news of the purchase agreement on November 21, 2024, indicating that the Cessna SkyCouriers will be used to support travel throughout the communities within the Marshall Islands.
Air Marshall Islands is a commercially operated airline owned by the government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and is based in Majuro, the capital city of the country, which is located in the South Pacific.
“The Cessna SkyCourier is an excellent choice to support the mission of AIR Marshall Islands. With its low operating costs and maximum cabin flexibility, the SkyCourier is a real game-changer in regional connectivity,” said Lannie O’Bannion, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Flight Operations, Textron Aviation.
O’Bannion added: “This order is an excellent example of the SkyCourier’s unmatched capabilities for a variety of mission profiles and also highlights Textron Aviation’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the aviation industry.”
The Cessna SkyCourier is available in both freighter and passenger variants, as well with a combi configuration or gravel kit for maximum flexibility.
The 19-passenger variant includes crew and passenger doors for boarding, as well as large cabin windows for natural light and views.

Founded in 1992, Air Marshall Islands currently operates a fleet of two Dornier 228-212s and a single De Havilland Canada Dash 8, according to ch-aviation.
