The enhanced security and safety measures across the entire port remain in effect. Ports in multiple Middle Eastern countries are gradually resuming operations under heightened security measures, including the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen.
In the United Arab Emirates, the Ras Al Khaimah Ports Authority advises that, in accordance with directives from the UAE's Federal Security Service, vessels registered in Iran and cargo originating from Iran are not accepted for operations at Ras Al Khaimah port facilities and are not permitted to anchor within UAE or Ras Al Khaimah territorial waters. All Ras Al Khaimah port facilities are currently operating normally without disruption, and the port facility security level remains unchanged.
All port users are urged to remain vigilant and continue to fully comply with existing ISPS, safety, and security procedures. They should also ensure that voyage plans, vessel designations, and cargo designations comply with restrictions, verify vessel registration information, update estimated times of arrival, and immediately report any potential non-compliance to the Port and Maritime Operations Department.
As of 14:30 GST on March 2, operations at Iraq's Basra Oil Terminal, Khor Al Zubair, and Umm Qasr are normal. The Basra Oil Terminal is fully operational, with no reported disruptions to crude loading or maritime movements. In Kuwait, operations at Mina Al Ahmadi Port, Mina Abdullah Port, and Mina Al Zour Port are normal. The security level at Mina Al Ahmadi Port and Mina Al Zour Port has been raised to Level 2.
In Oman, Mina Al Fahal is operating normally, Duqm is operating normally, operations at the general cargo and liquid terminals in Salalah have been suspended, while Sohar Port and anchorage operations are normal. In Qatar, Ras Laffan and Mesaieed are operating normally, Halul is operating normally, and Al Shaheen is expected to berth tomorrow. In Saudi Arabia, Ras Tanura is temporarily closed, while all other Saudi ports are operating normally. In Yemen, Aden and Hodeidah are operating normally.
