Japanese low-cost carrier ZIPAIR launched a new route from Tokyo Narita Airport to Orlando, Florida, USA, on February 23rd. This marks the first direct flight from Japan to Orlando. The route is currently operating on a limited-time basis, with flights scheduled for February 23rd, 28th, and March 5th and 10th. It utilizes Boeing 787-8 aircraft and offers travel packages in collaboration with Disney International Destinations.
Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific resumed its Manila to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia route on March 1st, offering four weekly services using Airbus A330-900 aircraft. This route is the airline's longest, directly competing with Philippine Airlines and Saudi Arabian Airlines. The weekly flight frequency on this route is expected to reach 18 this year.
Turkish airline AJet launched a route from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Rotterdam, Netherlands, operating four to six times weekly, primarily using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Rotterdam is the second most populous city in the Netherlands, with approximately 50,000 residents of Turkish background.
U.S. carrier Spirit Airlines restarted daily flights between Tampa and San Juan, Puerto Rico, scheduled to continue until April 14th. This route is the eighth busiest market between San Juan and the U.S. mainland, with approximately 396,000 round-trip passengers in the 12 months ending November 2025.
United Express returned to Paducah, Kentucky, USA, on February 24th, offering daily services from Chicago O'Hare and Houston Intercontinental airports. Both are operated by SkyWest using CRJ550 aircraft. Paducah, with a population of about 27,000, is a UNESCO City of Crafts and Folk Art.
Singaporean low-cost carrier Scoot launched a daily route from Changi Airport to Tokyo Haneda Airport on March 1st, using Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft. This is the airline's seventh-longest direct flight route. Scoot already operates a route from Changi to Tokyo Narita Airport.
Swiss International Air Lines temporarily used an Airbus A350-900 on its Zurich to Montreal route, replacing the A330-300 and offering Premium Economy Class. However, it plans to switch to an A340-300 on March 28th. The one-way distance of this route is 3,246 nautical miles.
