Wedoany.com Report-Dec 04, The first train was transporting 708 tonnes of wheat.

The operation results from a collaboration between SLP, Harineras Villamayor, the Intermodal Terminal of Monzón (TIM) of the SAMCA Group, the Port Authority of Bilbao, and traction provided by Renfe Mercancías. The train, consisting of 14 wagons and operated by Renfe, expands the rail services from the port, which previously focused on containers, conventional cargo, and liquid bulk.

The convoy is headed to the La Armentera industrial estate in Huesca, where the Intermodal Terminal of Monzón is located. Situated on a main freight corridor, this terminal serves as a hinterland for ports along both the Atlantic and Mediterranean arcs. Upon arrival, the wheat will be distributed to Harineras Villamayor, the final recipient.
