Wedoany.com Report on Mar 11th, LAFAYETTE, Ga. – GE Appliances announced the addition of a new appliance production line at its Roper Corporation facility as part of a multi-million-dollar investment to expand and modernize cooking product manufacturing operations. The appliance line, expected to be operational by July, will enhance assembly capacity for built-in cooking products and drive the adoption of automation and advanced manufacturing technologies at the site.

"The skills and dedication of our employees, combined with engineering and software expertise, allow us to bring new technologies into our manufacturing processes."
In recent years, GE Appliances has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in upgrading the Roper plant, which has operated in LaFayette since 1973 and remains a significant manufacturing employer in Northwest Georgia. These upgrades aim to increase production capacity and strengthen domestic manufacturing of cooking appliances.
This appliance line project is part of GE Appliances' previously announced $3 billion investment plan to expand U.S. manufacturing over the next five years, with the goal of increasing domestic output and supporting engineering and product development work in the United States.
