en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 24th, The Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru has recently approved, through Ministerial Resolution No. 081-2026-MINEM/DM, the granting of a provisional concession to Fenix Power Perú S.A.C. to conduct a feasibility study for the Chasqui Solar Park project. Located in the Ica Region of Peru, the project has a planned installed capacity of 200 megawatts.Image related to the Chasqui Solar Park project

The resolution confirms that the application submitted by Fenix Power Perú S.A.C. complies with the technical and legal requirements of the sector's regulations. As no objections were received within the statutory deadline, the procedure was approved under the principle of positive administrative silence. The provisional concession only permits the conduct of feasibility studies related to electricity generation activities, including technical, economic, and environmental assessments, as well as the possibility of managing provisional easements and using public property in accordance with the Electric Concessions Law.

The study area covers the Santiago District in the Ica Region, with a study period of 24 months from the date of the resolution's issuance. According to regulations, the company must fulfill the obligations outlined in the study schedule, comply with technical and safety standards, and protect the environment and cultural heritage. Failure to meet obligations or renew the faithful performance guarantee may lead authorities to enforce guarantee measures as per the regulations.

The Chasqui Solar project is thus included in Peru's portfolio of solar projects under evaluation, currently in the preliminary study phase. The results of this study will determine whether the project ultimately receives a permanent concession and proceeds to development and construction. This progress contributes to advancing Peru's renewable energy development and meeting local energy demands.
