The Ningxia Regional Virtual Power Plant Project is a landmark project developed by PowerChina Power Investment Company to establish the "Digital Power Steward" service brand. It not only achieved breakthroughs across the entire chain—from technology construction and system testing to obtaining official compliance operational qualifications—but also took a crucial step towards the nationwide layout of virtual power plant business.

After its official operation, the project will fully leverage its four core functions: ensuring grid security and supply, efficiently integrating new energy, enabling user energy conservation and carbon reduction, and providing smart energy consumption services. It will offer users safer, more efficient, lower-carbon, and smarter energy services, helping to expand new smart energy business models and improve the integrated energy service system.

Guided by the "Dual Carbon" goals, building a new power system has become the core task of China's energy transition. Virtual power plants, as key carriers for aggregating distributed energy resources and enhancing grid regulation capabilities, are entering a golden period of policy-driven development.
