Railcare is preparing to assign Effishunter 1000 locomotives, delivered by CZ LOKO, as clearing units in additional locations across Sweden. After the turn of the year, two further sites in Nässjö and Älmhult will begin receiving emergency coverage. By July 2025, similar duties will extend to Ånge and Gävle, followed by Hallsberg in January 2026.

These steps follow previous procurement arrangements, enabling Railcare to cover a total of 10 out of the 13 standby positions designated by the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverkert. The locomotives are intended to comply with environmental requirements and be ready for emergency response at short notice.

The company’s current clearing operations are already established in Långsele, Vännäs, Boden, Kiruna, and Borlänge.
