SeaRail Shuttle has introduced a new combined transport connection linking the Port of Limay in the Île-de-France region with the Port of Ottmarsheim in Grand Est, in collaboration with Swissterminal.

The route is set to reduce road transport by approximately 192 trucks annually, contributing to an estimated saving of 77 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. The service aims to balance efficiency, cost competitiveness, and environmental considerations in freight logistics.

The newly established link includes a weekly intermodal rail connection and integrates into the Ottmarsheim terminal's operations. The terminal, operated by Swissterminal AG, serves as an intermodal hub within the region, supporting the transition of freight transport from road to rail.

SeaRail Shuttle has also indicated plans for further route expansions, with the intention of addressing shipper requirements in the logistics sector.
