en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Kistler Group of Switzerland has recently released a new version of its injection molding quality control software, including the process monitoring system Comoneo 9.0 and the production data management platform Akvisio 9.0, simultaneously launching a new generation of system hardware with enhanced performance. This update to the injection molding quality control software focuses on responding to user feedback from medical device production, placing ease of use and standardization options at its core.
Akvisio 9.0 introduces a customizable dashboard on the start screen, allowing user teams to get an overview of all connected Comoneo process monitoring systems and directly view the utilization rate, part quality, and current reject rate of each machine via color coding. Once an injection molding machine exceeds defined quality limits, the platform automatically triggers an alarm, and users can then switch to the production history, with the time window freely selectable by shift or production batch. In multi-cavity injection molding applications, the new version of the injection molding quality control software supports the overlay display of multiple production trends, enabling quick inference of each cavity's condition through color coding, and provides dedicated visualization options for comparing different machines with the same mold combination. The system also features optimized visualization paths designed separately for process engineers and quality management teams, with the former focusing on troubleshooting and the latter on reporting and traceability.
Martial Willimann, Product Manager for Medical Products and Data Solutions at Kistler, stated: "All views are interconnected, which makes it very easy to see correlations: for example, if a specific error always recurs after reaching a certain number of cycles, I can easily spot it and trace back what happened in the process at that time with just a few clicks."

Comoneo 9.0 supports the centralized creation of trend and evaluation object templates, which can be used at different production sites or lines. The new balance view makes the relative differences between individual cavities immediately visible, and Comoneo Multiflow continues to support automated control and balancing for multi-cavity injection molding. For the first time, firmware management for all Comoneo devices is performed centrally via Akvisio 9.0, with the platform automatically waiting for the device to exit production mode before completing the update. Daniel Kormann, Head of Kistler's Medical Business Center, explained: "Through improved ease of use and various possibilities for personalization and standardization, we specifically want to make it easy for new users to get started with our system as well."
The new hardware launched simultaneously with the software is equipped with a faster processor, supporting artificial intelligence applications and multi-cavity scenarios, ensuring smooth display of multi-cavity pressure curves. The new hardware is not a prerequisite for using the new version of the injection molding quality control software.
