en.Wedoany.com Reported - Lodestar Minerals has confirmed new exploration targets at the Aguila prospect within the Los Loros porphyry copper-gold project, reinforcing the potential of a near-surface copper-gold porphyry system.

Lodestar Minerals announced the identification of five new copper-gold targets at the Aguila prospect (prospecto Aguila) within the Los Loros Porphyry Project, following the completion of geophysical exploration activities on the property.

The company reported that the new targets were identified through induced polarization (IP) and magnetotelluric studies, detecting anomalies located between 150 and 800 meters below the surface.

According to the mining company, the results confirm the potential to host a fully preserved porphyry system relatively close to the surface.

Lodestar Minerals highlighted that historical drilling conducted at the project yielded a result of 136 meters at 0.20% copper equivalent, located at the edge of a geophysical target named IP1.

The company stated that this drilling ended before reaching the core of the newly defined anomalies, enhancing the potential of the new exploration targets.

Company CEO Coraline Blaud noted that the new IP targets correlate with surface expressions and historical drilling data.

"We are very pleased with these results and look forward to commencing our first drilling program at Los Loros, focusing on both the copper-molybdenum porphyry system and the high-grade gold epithermal system," she stated.

The executive also highlighted progress at the Three Saints Project, where the company completed initial drilling that delineated a new large IOCG (Iron Oxide-Copper-Gold) system beneath cover.

According to the company's explanation, the mineralization and alteration characteristics of this system are similar to the marginal zones of the Candelaria deposit (depósito Candelaria).

Lodestar completed diamond drill hole L3SDD004 to a depth of 611.10 meters, identifying visible sulfides and skarn-type alteration zones, which are typical features of regional IOCG deposits.

"Having two projects of such significant potential in Chile demonstrates the important discovery opportunities present in Lodestar's portfolio," Blaud added.

Lodestar Minerals is an exploration company focused on gold and base metals, with projects distributed across Australia, Chile, and the United States.
