en.Wedoany.com Reported - Fincantieri has completed sea trials for the Explora III, the third cruise ship built for Explora Journeys, and delivery is imminent.

The vessel is the third in a series of six ships that Fincantieri is constructing for this luxury brand under MSC Cruises. The first two ships in the series, Explora I and Explora II, were delivered in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

The new ship measures 248 meters in length and 32 meters in width, and is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). Across 14 decks, it features 461 all-balcony cabins with a rated capacity of 900 passengers. Among these is an owner's suite with an indoor and terrace area of approximately 280 square meters; some cabins are also equipped with accessible pathways for wheelchair users.

Public facilities on board include restaurants, bars, lounges, boutiques, nine treatment rooms, a beauty salon, as well as indoor and outdoor wellness spaces covering over 1,000 square meters, along with indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Explora Journeys stated that the Explora III is the first LNG-powered cruise ship in its fleet. In the future, once bio-LNG and renewable synthetic LNG achieve large-scale application in the shipping industry, the vessel will also be capable of using these fuels.
