en.Wedoany.com Reported - JDR Cable Systems has delivered a power umbilical for installation at the Corrib gas field, located 350 meters deep off the northwest coast of Ireland.

The JDR team in Littleport was responsible for designing, manufacturing, and supplying the power umbilical for the field. The Corrib gas field is located approximately 83 kilometers off the northwest coast of Ireland.
JDR stated that the umbilical consists of six 10 mm² paired cables, designed to meet the specific technical requirements of the project. As both ends of the umbilical are terminated with Umbilical Termination Assemblies (UTAs), it enables seamless integration with existing offshore infrastructure.
Discovered in 1996, the Corrib gas field began production on December 30, 2015, and accounts for 100% of Ireland's natural gas output. Natural gas is transported via a 90-kilometer pipeline to the Bellanaboy Bridge gas processing plant, where it is treated before entering the national grid. Canadian oil and gas producer Vermilion Energy holds a 56.5% operating interest in the field, while Ireland's Nephin Energy holds the remaining 43.5% interest.
