en.Wedoany.com Reported - Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (Cemig) has launched a public tender to expand the state's electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The tender, part of the Research, Development, and Innovation Program (P&D) PDI-663, plans to select up to four partner sites for the construction of new charging corridors, aiming to promote sustainable mobility and support the regional energy transition.

The company plans to prioritize high-traffic tourist and socio-economic routes, focusing on the Estrada Cênica Serra do Espinhaço scenic highway axis, covering from Lagoa Santa to Diamantina, as well as tourist attractions in the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region (RMBH).

According to the technical proposal, each selected site will feature a charging hub consisting of one 22 kW AC charging unit and one 30 kW DC fast charger, compatible with different electric vehicle models. The distribution company's design aims to eliminate initial capital expenditure (Capex) barriers in the development of the charging network.
