en.Wedoany.com Reported - Boston Consulting Group (BCG) announced it will invest $500 million by 2030 to support the application of artificial intelligence in addressing social challenges, focusing on organizations most likely to achieve transformative impact and large-scale systemic change. The commitment aims to provide support for under-resourced social impact organizations.

This initiative builds on BCG's past social impact investments. Since 2020, BCG has dedicated 3.5 million hours to social impact efforts and invested over $1.5 billion in related projects. Since 2024, the company has delivered more than 200 technology and AI projects for social impact organizations. This new commitment will help BCG support charities and non-profits in scaling development outcomes across areas ranging from education and workforce development to healthcare and poverty reduction.
As a first step, BCG is collaborating with Anthropic's Beneficial Deployments team to combine Anthropic's frontier models with BCG's expertise, aiming to deliver breakthrough impact for up to 20 leading social impact organizations this year. BCG CEO Christoph Schweizer stated that AI is the defining strategic priority of the moment, and the company is committed to ensuring the social sector also benefits from its commercial applications. BCG Global Social Impact Lead Jim Larson noted that the company's over 30 years of experience working with world-class social impact organizations, combined with its expertise in helping businesses scale AI transformation, positions it favorably. Elizabeth Kelly, Head of Beneficial Deployments at Anthropic, said the partnership will provide social impact organizations with Claude credits and hands-on training to help them truly integrate AI into their missions.
