The three sites are Aston Flamville (26.2 MW) in Leicestershire, Thorpe (61.9 MW) in Staffordshire, and Maes Mawr (24.5 MW) in Glamorgan, with construction continuing into 2026 and 2027.

This marks Elgin's first construction activity in the UK, transitioning the company from project development to full-cycle delivery.

Independent connection provider engineering will be delivered by G2 Energy, a subsidiary of Mitie Power & Grid.

Elgin recently secured eight contracts totaling 382 MW in the UK's seventh round of Contracts for Difference (CfD) auctions, having also won 164 MW and 130 MW in the sixth and fifth rounds, respectively.

Elgin CEO Dermot Kelleher stated that advancing these projects to the construction phase is a significant step in the company's UK delivery strategy. The company has built a substantial project pipeline, secured long-term contracts, arranged financing, and begun large-scale execution.

These sites are expected to power approximately 24,000 households across the UK within the first six months of operation.

Elgin has previously secured up to £500 million in financing from a syndicate including BNP Paribas, Siemens Bank, Société Générale, Standard Chartered, and NatWest.
