en.Wedoany.com Reported - Li Xiang, founder, chairman and CEO of Li Auto, discussed the specific definition of "embodied intelligent vehicles" on June 15 at the Livis Day automotive software and artificial intelligence conference.

Li Xiang pointed out that traditional intelligent vehicles are essentially function-driven and not true intelligent agents, differing fundamentally from embodied intelligent vehicles in three dimensions: safety, capability, and efficiency. He proposed that an embodied intelligent vehicle should be "four-in-one": it is simultaneously an electric vehicle, a professional driver, an AI computer, and a life assistant. Among these, the electric vehicle and AI computer represent the "embodied" part, while the professional driver and life assistant represent the "intelligence."

Embodiment is a core concept spanning cognitive science, psychology, and artificial intelligence, emphasizing the inseparability of mind and body, as well as the dependence of cognition on physical environmental interaction. For example, embodied intelligence refers to AI robots or robotic dogs with physical entities that can perceive the real world through sensors, interact with the environment, and perform tasks—fundamentally different from pure software AI like ChatGPT.
