en.Wedoany.com Reported - US company ExOne has launched the S-Print Pro sand binder jetting system, a compact industrial sand 3D printer reportedly designed specifically for small and medium-sized foundries, mold makers, and printing service providers that have long been unable to adopt this technology due to cost issues.

The system occupies less than 12 square meters and is the company's lowest-priced industrial sand 3D printer, primarily targeting areas such as small-batch casting, spare parts production, contract manufacturing, and custom parts.

"The S-Print Pro is exactly what foundries have been asking us for: high-quality industrial sand printing in a system with an affordable purchase, installation, and operating cost," said Eric Bader, CEO of ExOne Global Holdings. "Since the merger of ExOne and voxeljet, our team has focused on combining engineering, application knowledge, and customer insights to solve this real-world production challenge. This launch reflects the results of that work and our commitment to making industrial binder jetting technology more accessible to foundries worldwide."

The machine features a new generation CoreBoost printhead with a working resolution of 400 dpi and is equipped with an optional StepX in-situ surface smoothing function to reduce stair-step artifacts during printing. User-replaceable printhead modules and a dual-tank replacement system are designed to minimize downtime. The configurable printhead design allows operators to run the same machine with different module layouts, choosing between higher throughput or lower operating costs based on production priorities. The build volume is 1200 × 750 × 500 mm, with a layer thickness range of 0.10 to 1.00 mm. Compatible materials include furan resin binder with silica sand, with optional CeraBeads and silicon carbide.

"Most foundries in the world are small businesses, many with fewer than 100 employees," said Aldo Randazzo, Director of Application Management and ODP Management at ExOne. "They are the backbone of manufacturing, yet industrial binder jetting technology has rarely been built to their scale or budget. We aim to bridge this gap with the new S-Print Pro."

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, initially for test partners and early production bookings.
