en.Wedoany.com Reported - ZTE has officially launched its new-generation AI OLT equipped with a built-in N*100T intelligent computing board. Centered on 50G PON technology and featuring a CPU+NPU heterogeneous computing architecture, this product delivers computing power exceeding 100T, upgrading the optical access network from a pure data transmission pipeline to an integrated service platform that combines computing, networking, sensing, and intelligence.

The built-in intelligent computing board of the AI OLT, through a collaborative system integrating terminals, edge, and cloud, addresses the shortcomings of traditional optical networks in edge computing capabilities. The network can perform lightweight AI inference and intelligent service scheduling at nearby nodes, effectively reducing interaction latency with the cloud. In terms of service delivery, this product creates a native computing-network service entry point, enabling schedulable computing power and multi-purpose use of optical fibers. For experience optimization, AI-based intelligent scheduling algorithms and hard slicing technology ensure stable operation of latency-sensitive services. In operations, maintenance, and energy efficiency, a fully closed-loop autonomous operations system is established, enabling proactive fault prediction and self-healing, while AI-driven traffic prediction dynamically adjusts device power consumption, balancing efficient operation with green and low-carbon development.

The new-generation AI OLT with built-in computing power aligns with the ION-2030 goals of sustainability and ubiquitous intelligence, driving the optical network's transition from bandwidth sales to computing service provision. It is expected that by next year, the computing power on ZTE's AI OLT will evolve to the P-level. With large-scale deployment of equipment, edge computing will be fully extended to the network periphery, continuously strengthening the foundational base for ubiquitous AI services and providing all-optical computing support for digital infrastructure and the intelligent transformation of thousands of industries.
