en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ballymore Resources (ASX:BMR) has completed an expanded high-resolution ground gravity survey at its Ruddygore Project, identifying multiple high-priority drill targets in the historic Chillagoe mining district of North Queensland.
The gravity survey, along with geophysical surveys at the company's Dittmer Project, received A$383,000 in funding from the Queensland Government's Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI). Ballymore completed a total of 1,948 gravity stations, significantly exceeding the originally planned 618 stations after preliminary results exceeded expectations.
The survey began in May with a regional grid spacing of 500 meters, and detailed coverage was conducted over key prospects including Torpy's, MAN03, Eleventh, and Armada East. Strong preliminary results prompted Ballymore to immediately expand the project, adding further detailed coverage at Torpy's—Little Torpy's, Armada East, and Maniopota.
Managing Director David A-Izzeddin stated that these preliminary results reinforce Ruddygore's potential for multiple significant mineral systems beyond the Torpy's discovery. While Torpy's continues to deliver encouraging results, the gravity survey indicates it is part of a larger mineralized corridor. He also noted that the team identified several new gravity anomalies, many of which coincide with historic mines and pits as well as supportive geochemical, magnetic, and electromagnetic signatures, significantly expanding the inventory of high-priority drill targets.
The Ruddygore Project covers an area of 556 square kilometers, adjacent to Chillagoe, and hosts numerous historic copper, gold, silver, lead, and zinc mines. Ballymore stated that final data and models are expected to be completed soon and will be integrated with existing datasets to rank and prioritize drill targets for future testing.
The company also expects to receive assay results from the current drilling campaign at Torpy's, final results from the gravity survey, and generate new drill targets across the broader project area in the coming months. Ballymore Resources is a mineral exploration company focused on identifying and developing gold, copper, silver, and critical mineral deposits in underexplored mineral belts in Queensland.
