en.Wedoany.com Reported - Renault Group India has launched exports of the new Duster model, with the first 750 vehicles shipped from Chennai to South Africa. This export initiative marks a key milestone in strengthening India's role as a critical manufacturing and export hub for the company's global markets.
The new vehicles are produced at the manufacturing plant in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu, leveraging the region's well-established automotive industry ecosystem, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and export infrastructure.
This SUV is the first Renault model manufactured in India based on the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP). The platform has been localized in Tamil Nadu and underwent comprehensive validation and performance testing at the Madras International Circuit in Irungattukottai.
The launch of exports aligns with Renault's target of achieving €2 billion in annual export value from India by 2030. As the company expands its overseas footprint, Tamil Nadu is expected to continue serving as a core region for its export strategy, further solidifying the state's position as a global hub for automotive manufacturing, engineering, and exports.
