en.Wedoany.com Reported - Yanmar's 5.7-ton SV60-6B mini excavator made its debut at ConExpo 2026 and is set to enter the North American market. Initially launched in Europe, this model is now being offered to North American users.

The SV60 weighs approximately 200 pounds more than Yanmar's popular Vi055-6A model released in 2022. The Vi055-6A features a zero tail swing design, while the SV60 adopts a conventional tail swing. Yanmar states that the SV60 delivers large excavator performance on a highly flexible 6-ton platform. The cab is comparable in size to an 8-ton model, offering ample legroom for operator freedom of movement. Large glass panels ensure 360-degree visibility, a roof window facilitates loading and unloading operations, and three rearview mirrors allow the operator to see the work area from the seat, with a rearview camera as standard.

This excavator is suitable for applications such as construction, land management, utility installation, landscaping, and demolition.

According to Yanmar, the excavator's four hydraulic pumps deliver a flow rate of up to 36.8 gallons per minute, enabling operators to perform multiple functions while traveling, while also increasing cycle times and breakout force. The control valve distributes flow from each pump to achieve an optimal combination of speed, power, smooth operation, and balance. Yanmar states that the SV60 offers class-leading lifting performance in loading applications.

Standard features include a 7-inch LCD display that is waterproof, supports night vision, and is heated to prevent icing in cold weather; a fully adjustable air suspension seat with headrest; foldable wide travel pedals; heater and air conditioning; adjustable wrist rests; foot pedals; an X-box undercarriage providing torsional rigidity, durability, and extended service intervals; an automatic deceleration system; boom-integrated LED lights and two LED lights in front of the cab; a roof window sunshade; a windshield with two fully retractable sections, wiper, and washer; sliding dual right-side windows; storage compartments including space for a lunch box and tool box; an automatic dome light; a 12-volt power outlet; and the SmartAssist telematics system.

Specifications for the SV60-6B mini excavator include: operating weight of 12,467 pounds; engine is a Yanmar 45 net horsepower @ 2,200 rpm; maximum digging depth of 12.8 feet (13.8 feet with long arm); maximum reach of 20.1 feet (21 feet with long arm); maximum dump height of 14 feet (14.6 feet with long arm); maximum bucket breakout force of 9,419 lbf; width of 6.5 feet; maximum travel speed of 3 mph; and ground clearance of 1.1 feet.
