en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK lifting equipment and crane manufacturer Harold Potter has completed the installation of four new 5-ton single-girder overhead gantry cranes at the WH Davis factory in Derbyshire, England.
The installation team increased the lifting height of these cranes through a customized heightening solution. Each crane is equipped with remote control, anti-collision technology, gantry end deceleration mechanisms, and a load monitoring system that displays the lifted weight and alerts the operator in case of overload.
The installation was carried out by the Harold Potter team, which was also responsible for the design and manufacturing of the equipment. The company stated that the team performed excellently in all stages from design, manufacturing, and upgrading to installation.
Founded in 1908, WH Davis is the last independent railway wagon manufacturer in the UK, with its factory located near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. In addition to railway wagons, the company also produces containers and industrial trailers.
Harold Potter specializes in heavy lifting equipment and overhead cranes, offering services including installation, maintenance, modification, and safety inspections for various equipment types. Earlier this month, the company also supplied a 30-meter span, 12.5-ton capacity Goliath crane to JRL Trent Precast in Skelmersdale, England, with transportation handled by WS Transportation. Harold Potter managed the entire delivery and installation process, as part of its regular service for providing overhead cranes, including Goliath and semi-Goliath types.
