The company noted that research often requires navigating dozens of databases, multiple file formats, and various tools, creating additional burdens for researchers. Claude Science provides a unified integrated research environment that assists researchers in analyzing literature, executing multi-step research workflows, and generating detailed results. Charts and manuscripts can be iteratively refined until they meet publication requirements. Each output comes with an auditable generation history, facilitating verification and replication of experimental processes.
On the Claude Science platform, researchers interact through a general-purpose agent equipped with over 60 curated skills and connectors. This agent can launch a series of other specialized agents, and a dedicated review agent is responsible for checking the work output.
After months of internal testing, Claude Science has already assisted research in areas such as RNA sequencing, CRISPR selection, protein structure prediction, and cheminformatics. The platform is currently available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users, and Anthropic also plans to provide funding support for up to 50 scientific projects.
