en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hero MotoCorp has announced a cumulative investment of over INR 32 billion in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, including more than INR 7.5 billion for a second global parts center in Tirupati, to expand its manufacturing, logistics, and electric mobility operations in the state.

The company laid the foundation for the facility on Wednesday, with the investment forming part of a broader roadmap to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen the global supply chain, and boost electric vehicle production. The upcoming global parts center will handle Hero MotoCorp's domestic and international spare parts operations. The company's manufacturing plant in Tirupati currently produces its full range of electric vehicle products. According to a company statement, the plant's annual production capacity is expected to increase to 1.2 to 1.5 million units, and the expansion is projected to create approximately 4,000 jobs.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, while inaugurating the facility, stated that Hero MotoCorp has been a valuable partner in the state's development journey, particularly in the transformation of the Rayalaseema region. The company's decision to establish a global parts center in Tirupati is a strong endorsement of the state's progressive policies, world-class infrastructure, investor-friendly ecosystem, and commitment to "Ease of Doing Business." Naidu said the investment will create jobs, strengthen the industrial economy of Rayalaseema, and help position Tirupati as a hub for manufacturing, mobility, and logistics.
Hero MotoCorp Executive Chairman Pawan Munjal stated that the investment reflects the company's long-term commitment to Indian manufacturing. He said that at Hero MotoCorp, business growth goes hand in hand with nation-building, and the foundation laying of the second global parts center in Tirupati is a significant milestone in the development journey, reflecting confidence in India's future and Andhra Pradesh's growth vision. The investment will strengthen the company's global supply chain and support its expansion in both domestic and international markets.
The company also announced two community initiatives in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh government. The company will launch the "Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal Heroes of Tomorrow Scholarship programme," providing full tuition support for outstanding engineering students enrolled at Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across all 28 districts of the state. Hero MotoCorp will also deploy VIDA electric scooters and provide road safety training for female police officers in the Tirupati region. The company stated that the expansion aligns with the central government's "Viksit Bharat 2047" vision and the Andhra Pradesh government's "SwarnAndhra" development plan.
