en.Wedoany.com Reported - AI Swiss has released an open-source framework called BASE, designed to help businesses and organizations deploy generative artificial intelligence. The association, headquartered in Neuchâtel (Neuenburg), focuses on AI education and has developed teaching materials for educators as well as courses to enhance AI literacy.

The framework integrates rules, roles, sources, decision criteria, and review steps related to generative AI deployment. According to AI Swiss, companies no longer need to store such information separately in individual chat logs or platform storage features; instead, it is placed in editable text files independent of the AI model being used.

AI Swiss believes this approach allows companies to more effectively retain their expertise when switching AI providers or tools. These files can be read, shared, and modified without programming knowledge. However, the framework does not replace internal AI governance, data protection regulations, or cybersecurity measures.

AI Swiss notes, for example, that individuals who regularly create similar documents—such as quotes or reports—can use the framework. BASE not only stores repetitive instructions but also records document requirements, decision criteria, relevant information, necessary review steps, and sources to be cited.

The framework is available on GitHub. Standard components include: a defined file structure, separation of instructions from sources, a request forwarding mechanism, and a local application called BASE Studio for managing and visualizing content. Additionally, the project provides an evaluation mechanism to check the quality of recorded processes.

AI Swiss emphasizes that the framework does not guarantee the correctness of AI responses. The framework stores the working foundation locally or in proprietary text files but cannot control what content the connected AI tool transmits to its provider.

BASE version 1.0.0 has been released on GitHub. The source code is licensed under Apache-2.0, and the documentation under CC BY 4.0. The project includes documentation in French and English, along with approximately a dozen application examples.
