China's ROKAE Showcases AI Welding Technology at Two Exhibitions

From June 26 to 27, the China Transformer Green Welding and Intelligent Manufacturing Conference was held in Changzhou. Zi Lilong, Marketing Director of ROKAE's Welding Division, delivered a report titled "Embracing AI, Empowering Industry, Unlocking New Frontiers of Welding Intelligent Manufacturing in the Transformer Sector." The report analyzed the pain points of traditional transformer welding and introduced how ROKAE, through its innovative combination of "flexible collaboration" and "AI intelligence," customizes high-precision, high-flexibility welding intelligent manufacturing solutions for the transformer industry.

On June 29, the 29th Beijing·Essen Welding & Cutting Fair opened at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. ROKAE showcased its "Full-Joint Force Control" flexible collaborative welding robot at booth 60701 in Hall 6, along with its full product matrix: the CR series, including the CR12 with a 1.4m reach and the CR20 with a 1.8m reach, suitable for welding medium-to-large workpieces; and the SR series, including the SR5 with a self-weight of 16.5kg, designed for operations in confined spaces and rapid handling. Each joint of this series is equipped with a high-precision torque sensor, allowing smooth dragging with a force of less than 1N for precise teaching. The long-reach models can achieve precise alignment for arc start and end without an external joystick. Each axis of the robot has a ±360° motion range. Combined with advanced dynamics algorithms, vibration suppression algorithms, and singularity avoidance algorithms, it ensures welding posture and continuous trajectory under complex multi-curve paths, improving welding efficiency and quality. ROKAE also demonstrated its fully self-developed control system, xCore, which covers trajectory planning, vibration suppression, and real-time arc tracking compensation. Through the ROKAE+ open platform, it provides underlying SDKs to partners, supporting secondary development.


ROKAE's collaborative arc welding system features core functions such as easy programming, precise control, expert process, and efficient execution. It is paired with an intelligent drag handle and a collaborative arc welding graphical programming software package developed for end-user needs, supporting advanced arc welding functions including arc tracking, external axis coordination, multi-layer multi-pass, real-time line laser tracking, and 3D vision-based teaching-free welding. The company stated that its welding solutions have been widely applied in industries such as steel structures, shipbuilding & offshore engineering, construction machinery, lifting machinery, transformers, power & electrical construction, and general industry, providing flexible solutions for small-batch, multi-variety production models.
