en.Wedoany.com Reported - German defense startup Quantum Systems has completed a funding round, raising $1.2 billion and achieving a company valuation of $8 billion, doubling its valuation from the Series C round. The funding was supported by Airbus.

As part of this funding round, Quantum Systems stated on July 2 that it is deepening its cooperation with Airbus. Michael Schöllhorn, CEO of Airbus Defense and Space, said in a statement that the two sides are integrating key architecture, software, and artificial intelligence capabilities to accelerate the sensor-to-shooter link in their joint product portfolio.
Quantum Systems co-CEO Sven Kruck said the funds will enable the company to increase production capacity and expand its global footprint, while advancing research and development efforts for future autonomous systems.
The startup showcased the optionally manned Pulse P19 light multi-mission military aircraft at last month's ILA Berlin Air Show. Designed for surveillance and counter-drone missions, the aircraft is scheduled for its maiden flight next year and is expected to enter service in 2028.
