en.Wedoany.com Reported - German railway company Deutsche Bahn's long-distance transport punctuality rate dropped below 50% on some days in June.
Bild newspaper attributed this deterioration to disruptions caused by infrastructure works and delays in construction projects managed by DB InfraGO. This subsidiary is responsible for Deutsche Bahn's rail network, infrastructure, traction power, and signaling systems.

The report stated that delays affected several major routes, including Berlin-Hamburg, Berlin-Hanover, Hanover-Hamburg, Cologne-Koblenz, Munich-Rosenheim, and Würzburg-Ansbach. These works are part of Deutsche Bahn's mainline corridor renovation plan.
Bild also linked the operational situation to a radio communication failure that disrupted passenger and freight traffic. The report said that Philipp Nagl, CEO of DB InfraGO, has publicly commented on this failure.
The article quoted Stephan Stracke, Deputy Chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group and transport policy spokesperson, as saying that Deutsche Bahn must bring the problems under control and improve the system's resilience.

Deutsche Bahn is pushing forward with large-scale infrastructure renewal while maintaining passenger and freight operations on a heavily utilized network. Bild reported that delays in mainline projects have also affected planned works on secondary lines used by regional and commuter services.
