en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 6, Great Wall Motor (GWM) and Autoliv officially signed the Global Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement, marking a new phase in their partnership spanning over two decades. GWM Chairman Wei Jianjun stated: "Safety is the bottom line of the automotive industry. The collaboration between GWM and Autoliv began with a shared vision and a steadfast commitment to the mission of safety." The signing of this strategic cooperation framework agreement expands their collaboration from single-product supply to key areas such as global business expansion, supply chain collaboration, localized operations, integrated safety system development, and sustainable growth.

According to the strategic cooperation framework agreement, both parties will deepen collaboration in three major directions. On the technical front, from zero-gravity seat safety solutions to green material innovations such as bio-based PET airbag fabrics, and AI-driven crash data analysis, they will jointly define the standards for next-generation automotive safety systems. On the global market front, Autoliv will leverage its global presence to provide quality standards and production capacity assurance for GWM's internationalization strategy. On the sustainable development front, both parties will jointly build a low-carbon system and share ESG governance experience. This strategic cooperation framework agreement represents another upgrade following their initial cooperation in 2001, becoming strategic suppliers in 2011, and signing a deepening framework agreement in 2023.

The cooperation between the two parties has a solid foundation. In 2016, Autoliv's factory began mass production in Xushui, Baoding. In March 2026, Autoliv received the "Sincere Partner Award" from GWM for the tenth time. Models such as the Wey V9X launched by GWM in 2026, as well as the Ora 5 and Tank 400 launched in 2025, are all equipped with Autoliv's safety products. Autoliv's Global CEO Mikael Bratt stated that this cooperation will build a more resilient partnership.
