Home Depot Subsidiary Acquires Texas Brick and Stone Distributor

Central Materials is a distributor of masonry and exterior finish materials headquartered in Edinburg, Texas, with two operating locations in the Rio Grande Valley. This acquisition will further expand GMS's product portfolio and regional presence in the South Texas market.

GMS Inc. is a professional building materials distributor headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, covering products such as gypsum, steel framing, ceilings, and exterior finish materials. The company joined SRS Distribution Inc., headquartered in Texas, in 2025. SRS Distribution is a professional building materials distribution platform under The Home Depot, with over 750 locations across 46 states nationwide.

Founded in 2012 by Cesar Guzman and Alejandro Barrera, Central Materials is a key supplier of brick, block, natural or manufactured stone veneer, bagged cement and aggregates, stucco, and related exterior finish products. Following the acquisition, Central Materials will continue to operate under its existing name and be managed by its founding team. The business will be integrated into GMS's Southwest division.
