en.Wedoany.com Reported - Australian pipeline construction equipment supplier Austrack Equipment expanded its fleet in July 2026, adding multiple Caterpillar brand machines to further enhance its service capabilities in the pipeline construction sector.
Austrack Equipment is a heavy equipment supply and rental company headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, with operations covering the entire country, serving industries such as pipeline construction, civil engineering, mining, energy, and infrastructure. The company's founder and Managing Director, Michael Benson, has over two decades of experience in the pipeline industry, progressing from a frontline equipment operator to a construction director, and deeply understands the stringent reliability requirements of equipment operating in Australia's remote and harsh conditions.
According to the company, the newly added equipment includes: 2 CAT 950 medium wheel loaders, equipped with large front buckets with a capacity of approximately 3 to 5 cubic meters, suitable for loose material handling and loading operations; 1 CAT D6 crawler dozer, equipped with a front blade, one of Caterpillar's most widely used dozer models, commonly employed in construction and mining projects; 2 CAT CS13 single-drum vibratory rollers, with an operating weight of approximately 13 tons, achieving soil compaction through vibration and dead weight; and 2 CAT 432 backhoe loaders, combining a front loading bucket with a rear excavator arm, serving as versatile equipment for general earthmoving tasks.

Austrack Equipment stated that these new machines are designed with performance, reliability, and productivity as core objectives, and will further enhance the company's equipment support capabilities in pipeline construction. The company maintains long-term close cooperation with major international manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi, offering customers one-stop services ranging from equipment sales and rental to technical support.
This fleet expansion is part of Austrack Equipment's ongoing efforts to optimize its equipment portfolio and improve service capabilities. Previously, in May 2026, the company delivered its fleet's largest excavator—a 120-ton Hitachi excavator—to a mine in central Queensland, used for loading three Caterpillar 777 mining trucks. As project demand in the pipeline, energy, and infrastructure sectors continues to grow, Austrack Equipment is consolidating its competitive position in the Australian heavy equipment rental market through equipment upgrades and fleet expansion.
