en.Wedoany.com Reported - La Gavia Shopping Center in Madrid, Spain, completed the first phase of a large-scale renovation plan in the first half of 2026, adding six new stores with a total additional usable area of over 1,000 square meters. The shopping center is owned by the multinational real estate group Klépierre.

The new tenants span the fashion, dining, and personal care sectors, including perfume chain Marvimundo, styling center Moonlight Style & Barber, hair salon Extensionmania, and international headwear and sportswear brand New Era. Multi-brand store Área Zero relocated to a new unit within the same shopping center, while specialist sleep brand Dormity and restaurant chain Le Coq also complement the tenant mix. The health and beauty segment has been significantly strengthened by the entry of specialized brands.
According to the overall renovation master plan, anchor brands such as Zara and Primor are undergoing major renovations and expansions to adapt to digital and experiential large-format store models. Klépierre is implementing a total investment of €14 million for a comprehensive refurbishment of common areas, the creation of an interactive children's zone, and the introduction of a high-end food market concept. To avoid disrupting daily commercial activities, construction is carried out at night. The technical solutions utilize eco-certified building materials, plant local low-water-consumption vegetation, and optimize the energy efficiency of lighting and air conditioning systems.

This renovation plan aims to consolidate the shopping center's leading position in the eastern area of Madrid, preparing it for the technological and environmental requirements of the next decade.
