en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Federal District Environmental Sanitation Company, together with the GDF, is investing 153 million reais to expand water supply and sewage collection infrastructure in São Sebastião, Brazil. This funding covers ongoing and tendered projects, new contracts, material procurement, and advancing initiatives, with the core goal of enhancing water security and sanitation coverage in the region.

Caesb and GDF invest 153 million reais to expand water supply and sewage systems in São Sebastião

The sewage collection system in Residencial Vitória is a key investment focus, with a project value of 4.8 million reais. This project will lay 9.1 kilometers of collection network, build one sewage lift station, and install 478 household connection points, expected to benefit approximately 3,400 residents and 993 plots, with a construction period of 240 days.

The entire project package also includes the already-started Adutora Mangueiral and Adutora Morro da Cruz water mains, as well as new community water supply networks and water system zoning. The investment in these sub-projects alone exceeds 94 million reais.

Additionally, Caesb has procured approximately 18 million reais worth of construction materials and plans to build two metal reservoirs, each with a capacity of 4 million liters, to strengthen water supply security in São Sebastião. These measures are part of Caesb's strategy to address regional growth, expand sanitation service coverage, thereby improving residents' quality of life and protecting the environment.

The launch ceremony for this series of investments was held on July 2 at 4:00 PM at Espaço Tropical, next to Escola Master in Sector 3 of Morro da Cruz, São Sebastião, with Governor Celina Leão in attendance.
