The product aims to address color application pain points in digital manufacturing, such as the limited detail and waste generated by multi-color FDM printing, the need for manual coloring in resin printing, the high cost of full-color 3D printing, and the independent workflows of UV printing and texture creation.
The G1X features two working modes. In 3D printing mode, the device uses a dedicated ink set of CMYK + double white + water-soluble support + transparent (CMYKST+W*2) to build models layer by layer, producing fully colored 3D models that are colored both inside and out, seamless, and require no post-coloring, as well as full-color 2.9D deep relief for deep three-dimensional embossing, with a printable height extendable to 150 mm. In UV printing mode, the device is equipped with an 8-channel ink system and a resolution of 1440×2400 DPI, supporting high-resolution 2D printing on over 400 compatible materials (including metal, acrylic, wood, leather, and ceramics), and supports 3D texture printing up to 10 mm (5 mm recommended for best quality), capable of reproducing surface textures such as leather, wood carving, brush strokes, and braille.
The device incorporates multiple design features for hardware and operating costs. The G1X uses an Epson I3200-U1HD industrial print head, supporting ultra-high frequency jetting to improve printing speed, stabilize ink ejection, and reduce the risk of clogging. According to internal test data, its UV printing speed is up to three times faster than desktop UV printers equipped with a single F1080 (XP600) print head. The economical ink system helps reduce consumable costs, with the design goal of minimizing maintenance and print head replacement frequency to control long-term operating expenses.
In terms of intelligent features, the G1X integrates AI-driven modeling tools, allowing users to generate high-fidelity models from text or images via HeyVerse AI and Blueprint Studio, or convert 2D images into 3D texture outputs. The device features a second-level auto-calibration function, using line scan imaging to identify object position, shape, and edges, enabling design alignment and intelligent layout. The full-stack creative workflow provides over 500 curated assets and text/image-to-3D generation capabilities, supporting users without 3D modeling experience to quickly turn ideas into printable models.
The HeyGears G1X is planned to launch a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform.
