en.Wedoany.com Reported - German HSR Manufaktur (Homologation Specials Reimagined) has unveiled the Type 859, a model built on the classic Audi Coupe B2, designed to replicate the Audi Sport Quattro SWB. HSR states that the construction method is similar to how HWA built its Evo, requiring no cutting or modification of any original Quattro models.

All exterior panels are made from lightweight carbon fiber, and HSR claims all vents are functional. The front splitter, rear wing, and hood vents are also active aerodynamic components that adjust in real-time to increase downforce. The company states a target curb weight of under 1,200 kilograms (approximately 2,645 pounds), though it is unclear if this has been achieved.

The chassis is shortened by 12.5 inches (320 mm) compared to the Coupe B2 and includes a roll cage. The engine is a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder unit from the current RS3, producing 600 horsepower in its most extreme driving mode. Unlike the RS3, the engine is mounted longitudinally to improve weight distribution.

Paired with the five-cylinder engine is an upgraded six-speed manual transmission from the S4, featuring a Torsen center differential and a mechanical limited-slip differential on the rear axle. The configuration also includes adjustable ride height active suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, auto rev-matching on downshifts, and launch control. Total production of the Type 859 is limited to 84 units, with a starting price of €500,000 (equivalent to $570,000) each, excluding taxes.
