en.Wedoany.com Reported - Saudia Cargo is adding four Boeing 777-200 freighters to its dedicated cargo fleet as part of a long-term growth strategy.
The first aircraft will be delivered in the fourth quarter, with the remaining three scheduled to arrive in 2027. This fleet expansion is part of the company's plan to double the size of its dedicated freighter fleet, aiming to strengthen operational capabilities in support of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.

Loay Mashabi, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Saudia Cargo, stated that this order is based on the company's long-standing strategic goal of expanding its international business footprint. Mashabi noted that this vision was initiated years ago to enhance capabilities and expand global reach, and the addition of four freighters is the first step in this phase, helping to strengthen the value commitment to customers and partners.
The new freighters will increase capacity to meet growing demand in e-commerce, exports, and international cargo sectors. Omar Arekat, Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing for the Middle East at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, stated that Saudia Cargo's order for Boeing 777 freighters demonstrates the aircraft's unparalleled performance and versatility, and the agreement solidifies Boeing's partnership with Saudia Group, which spans over 75 years.
Prior to this expansion, Saudia Cargo had a strong performance in 2025, transporting over 570,000 tons of cargo to more than 90 destinations, with sustained growth in revenue, national exports, and e-commerce cargo volumes, and an on-time performance rate exceeding 90%.
