en.Wedoany.com Reported - Liebherr, in partnership with exclusive tower crane distributor Morrow Equipment Company, is supplying tower cranes for seven high-rise construction projects in Miami, USA. These projects are located in neighborhoods such as Brickell, Edgewater, Park West, and Miami Worldcenter, encompassing residential and mixed-use buildings that will add thousands of new homes.

The selection of Liebherr cranes stems from the unique challenges of high-rise construction along the Florida coast: compact urban sites, hook heights of up to approximately 755 feet, and seasonal hurricanes combined with high humidity. Liebherr's EC-B flat-top cranes feature a compact tower head design that allows multiple machines to operate in close proximity; the EC-H series provides additional capacity for taller and heavier structures; and the HC-L luffing jib cranes are suitable for conditions with limited overhead space.

Morrow Equipment Company has been Liebherr's exclusive distributor in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) for over forty years. In 2022, Morrow ordered 27 new Liebherr cranes, including 340 EC-B and 470 EC-B flat-top models, as well as 357 HC-L luffing jib models. Peter Juhren, President and Chief Operating Officer of Morrow Equipment, stated that Liebherr is regarded as a top-tier tower crane supplier in North America, with customers expecting quality, reliability, and service support across all project sites.

Among the specific projects, Villa Miami in Edgewater is a 56-story copper-clad luxury condominium. The Federal Aviation Administration filed two 316 EC-H tower cranes in March 2025, with heights of approximately 755 feet and 715 feet respectively; the first crane was installed in April 2025. In the Park West district, the first phase of the E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences twin-tower project, a 65-story tower, topped out in early 2025, constructed with a Liebherr 470 EC-B crane; the second phase is underway. In Brickell, Cipriani Residences Miami is an 80-story residential tower approximately 942 feet tall, built with two EC-B cranes. The Federal Aviation Administration filing permits cranes on site to reach approximately 1,000 feet. The building surpassed 873 feet in April 2026, temporarily becoming the tallest residential tower in Miami. The 600 Miami World Centre project, a 32-story building with 606 residential units, topped out in October 2025 using two 357 HC-L luffing jib cranes and is expected to be delivered in 2026.

Other ongoing projects include a 58-story, 824-unit residential building at 46 NE 6th Street in downtown, equipped with one 420 EC-H and one 316 EC-H crane. The tower will rise approximately 574 feet above ground, including about 755 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a nine-story pool deck. In Edgewater, Hamilton House is a 38-story rental building with 114 residential units. The first Liebherr crane was installed in March 2025, vertical construction began in April, and the structure topped out in March 2026 at a height of approximately 495 feet. On Brickell Avenue, St. Regis Residences is a 50-story ultra-luxury condominium with 152 units. The Federal Aviation Administration filing approves the deployment of one 470 EC-B and one 420 EC-H crane, with a site height of approximately 741 feet, and completion is planned for 2027. The combination of Liebherr's EC-B, EC-H, and HC-L series cranes provides contractors with the flexibility to match the most suitable machine for each task along the Miami coastline.
