China's XCMG Deploys 65 Electric Loaders at Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coal Hub

en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's XCMG has achieved batch deployment of electric loaders at a coal transshipment hub in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, with a total of 65 XC968-EV pure electric loaders put into operation. The longest single-unit operating time has reached 20,000 hours.

Located in the heart of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, this coal transshipment node handles the screening and transfer of Shanxi coal, which is then transported to steel mills, power plants, and heating enterprises. In recent years, rising diesel prices, tightening environmental requirements, and increased production capacity demand driven by regional development have prompted operators to consider introducing new energy loaders.

Faced with trial vehicles from multiple manufacturers, the client organized an on-site comparative test of electric loaders. Operators reported that the XCMG electric loader, with its transmission-free structure, offers smooth gear shifting, responsive direct drive, and higher efficiency in long-distance transfer. Site managers noted that electric loaders have lower maintenance burdens, resulting in increased effective operating time and production efficiency, along with reduced management costs.

After the test, the client initially purchased 10 XCMG XC968-EV pure electric loaders for production, gradually expanding procurement thereafter. The coal transshipment site operates on a "people rest, machines run" model, where drivers clean and charge the equipment before each shift handover and perform full-vehicle inspections and maintenance before starting work. Under these usage conditions, the first batch of loaders maintained stable performance and appearance after 20,000 hours of high-intensity operation.

According to the operator's calculations, a single loader saved nearly 2 million yuan in combined energy and maintenance costs over a 20,000-hour operating cycle. Currently, the number of XCMG electric loaders on site has increased from 10 to 20, and ultimately to 65, covering all key coal transshipment operations.
