en.Wedoany.com Reported - Vena Energy has secured AUD 1.4 billion in green financing to support its solar and battery energy storage system assets in Australia. The financing was jointly provided by BNP Paribas, Bank of China, DBS Bank, ING Bank, Intesa Sanpaolo (IMI CIB Division), Mizuho Bank, MUFG Bank, OCBC, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, and Westpac Banking Corporation. The financing covers two transactions, including greenfield project financing and refinancing of existing facilities.
The first transaction involves 294 MWp of operational solar capacity in South Australia and Queensland, 320 MWp of solar capacity under construction, and 408 MWh of battery energy storage system capacity under construction. The second transaction supports the construction of two adjacent 583 MWh battery energy storage system facilities in New South Wales, as well as the operational 150 MWh Wandoan South battery energy storage system in Queensland.
In December 2025, Vena Energy achieved financial close for its Opus solar project in the Philippines. The financing involves seven international financial institutions, including BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, DBS Bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, MUFG Bank, Standard Chartered Bank Limited, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
