en.Wedoany.com Reported - Fathom Nickel Inc. has completed the second phase of its drilling program at the wholly-owned Gochager Lake project in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, with nine holes totaling 3,174.5 meters.

This drilling follows the first phase completed in March 2026, which included seven holes totaling 2,144 meters. The latest phase aimed to assess mineralization along the southwest extension and at depth of the Gochager Lake deposit, as well as target areas identified in the first phase. Drilling covered approximately 800 meters of strike length of the deposit's mineralized footprint and followed up on several off-hole geophysical anomalies.

Two new mineralized zones were discovered to the southwest and northeast of the historic Gochager Lake deposit. Core processing has been completed, and all samples were sent to the laboratory on July 10, 2026.

The Gochager Lake property covers 23,110 hectares, located approximately 75 kilometers north-northeast of La Ronge and about 22 kilometers west-northwest of Missinipe. The property lies within the Rottenstone and La Ronge domains of the Proterozoic Trans-Hudson Orogen, with a geological setting dominated by biotite gneiss and migmatite. Fathom Nickel's exploration projects in the region also include the Albert Lake and Friesen Lake projects.

Ian Fraser, CEO and Vice President of Exploration at Fathom, stated that the second phase of the 2026 drilling program successfully identified new nickel-copper-cobalt mineralized zones along the 800-meter strike length tested; due to recent cost-saving measures, the actual drilling footage exceeded the initial budget by approximately 1,000 meters. The company expects to receive assay results and release a report in mid-August.
