en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Chevron Technical Center (a division of Chevron Corp., based in Houston, Texas) has entered into a technology licensing agreement with ZL Chemicals Ltd. (Houston, Texas). Under the agreement, ZL Chemicals can commercialize chemical surfactant technology developed by Chevron and plans to launch related products and services under the Vantis™ brand.

Chevron has developed and applied advanced surfactant technology to enhance recovery in unconventional reservoirs. This licensing agreement enables the commercial deployment of this technology in a broader market.

"Technology creates more value when it can be widely applied," said Ryder Booth, Chevron's Chief Technology and Engineering Officer. "Advanced chemicals are one of Chevron's strengths and have already driven innovation in our own operations. Through this licensing agreement, we provide ZL Chemicals with a pathway to bring this technology to a wider market and scale it."

Under the agreement, ZL Chemicals will use the licensed technology to commercialize and market products and services under the Vantis™ brand. Vantis™ products are expected to support applications in shale and tight reservoirs, including enhanced oil recovery (EOR) solutions for existing wells and optimization efforts for new wells.

Echo Liu, President of ZL Chemicals, said the company is pleased to collaborate with Chevron to make this technology accessible to a broader customer base. At ZL Chemicals, the company focuses on providing chemicals and field services for enhanced recovery, aimed at supporting operators' production and reservoir management goals. Vantis™ is exactly the type of technology customers are seeking, and the company is ready to deliver it as a scalable turnkey service—from laboratory evaluation and quality assurance/quality control to application design, field deployment, and execution. The company looks forward to supporting operators in enhancing recovery and extending asset production life in shale and tight reservoirs.

The agreement combines Chevron's technology development expertise with ZL Chemicals' commercial capabilities and customer relationships. Chevron will continue to develop next-generation advanced surfactant technology for its own operations, while ZL Chemicals will commercialize products and services using the technology licensed under this agreement.
