en.Wedoany.com Reported - In the first half of 2026, Brazil's motorcycle production exceeded 1.063 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%, adding approximately 62,000 units. This data was released by the Brazilian Motorcycle Manufacturers Association (Abraciclo), with most of the country's motorcycle production concentrated in the Manaus Industrial Zone.

Abraciclo stated that the production growth reflects sustained and stable demand across states, driven by the advantages of motorcycles in economy, urban mobility, and professional use, as well as a market environment accompanied by the launch of newer, more technologically advanced models.
In terms of retail, motorcycle registrations exceeded 1.174 million units in the first half, setting a new historical record, with a 14.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025, adding more than 144,000 units.
Despite the favorable first-half situation, the association warned of future challenges, such as the impact of climate phenomena (with drought risks in the Amazon region) and the possibility of U.S. tariffs. Abraciclo President Marcos Bento commented: "Domestically, we continue to monitor economic activity, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rate policies."
However, June production fell 15.1% compared to the same month last year and 29.9% compared to May. Bento explained: "The June result was already expected, as manufacturers scheduled collective vacations during this period."
Abraciclo maintains its forecast that 2026 production should exceed 2 million units, with an estimated 2.07 million units.
