en.Wedoany.com Reported - Iberia plans to operate flights between Madrid, Spain, and Salerno, Italy, starting this November. The route will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft, offering a total of 10,800 seats.

With the addition of Salerno, Iberia's destinations in Italy increase to 12. Currently served cities include Bologna, Florence, Milan (Linate and Malpensa), Naples, Rome, Turin, and Venice, with seasonal additions of Cagliari, Catania, Olbia, and Palermo.
This year, Iberia offers over 2.85 million seats between Spain and Italy, a 1.8% increase compared to 2.8 million seats in 2025.
Víctor Moneo, Iberia's Global Sales Director, stated that the new Salerno route helps the company expand capacity in a key market, providing customers with more travel options. He also noted that passengers from Italy can conveniently connect to long-haul routes to Latin America and North America via the Madrid hub.
The route is part of Iberia's "Flight Plan 2030," a strategy aimed at strengthening the route network and air connectivity through the Madrid hub.
