en.Wedoany.com Reported - St. Catherine International Airport, located in Egypt's South Sinai Peninsula, is undergoing a major expansion as part of the country's "Great Transfiguration Project." Supported by the government, the project aims to transform the region into an international tourist destination.

The renovation includes a new 3,000-meter runway, an expanded apron capable of accommodating up to eight aircraft, and a new terminal that can handle 600 passengers per hour. The terminal features separate domestic and international arrival and departure lounges, as well as a VIP facility. Gate Technologies provided customized check-in counters, passport inspection booths, boarding gates, and various other counters for the project. The company refined the architect's design, with all equipment manufactured in the UK, and installation was completed by partner Aska International under the manufacturer's supervision.
